Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion 

In nature, biodiversity, whether in ecosystems, species, or individuals, leads to greater stability. Species with high genetic diversity as well as any populations, which are adapted to a wide variety of conditions, are more likely to be able to weather disturbances, disease, and climate change. At drvn, our commitment to the diversity around us supports the diversity among us.

When talking about culture and societies, we refer to cultural diversity or multiculturalism. The Encyclopedia Britannica defines multiculturalism as: “the view that cultures, races, and ethnicities, particularly those of minority groups, deserve special acknowledgment of their differences within a dominant political culture.” Societies that practice multiculturalism tend to be more stable and robust than those that don’t. This robustness is evident at drvn, where we derive inspiration and creativity from our differences.

There are numerous business studies that show diversity and inclusion creating workplace environments which promote problem solving, collaboration, and peer interaction, all of which results in better decision-making. A diverse workspace, also by definition draws and engages top talent, which of course fosters innovation, creativity, and financial performance. All of which serve to retain talent across all employee levels of a company.

All of us at drvn are proud to be a certified member of the National Minority Supplier Business Council. Being a member focuses us on the task of inclusion both inside the company and outside with our partners and suppliers.
